A community centre for Mocimboa da Praia

In Mocimboa da Praia, Cabo Delgado, one of the towns most affected by years of conflict, ALPS Resilience has built a new community centre, in partnership with the International Organization for Migration.

Where there was an empty plot, there is now a place the neighbourhood can call its own: a blue-and-white building with an inclusive access ramp, built block by block by our own local team, to international standards, even in a demanding recovery setting.

A community centre is where a displaced town regathers, a safe place to meet, to talk, and to decide together the future of the neighbourhood.

This is the quiet, essential work ALPS Resilience delivers alongside IOM, in the places that need it most, not grand buildings, but the everyday spaces where a community finds itself again.
