Community Engagement Drives Progress in Palma Water Rehabilitation Project (Phase 4)

ALPS Resilience continues to make steady progress under Phase 4 of the Palma Water Rehabilitation Project, with a strong emphasis on community participation and local ownership.

Across Palma District, local residents are actively involved in the construction of new public water points, bringing safe and reliable water sources closer to their communities. This hands-on approach not only accelerates implementation but also ensures that infrastructure is maintained and sustained over the long term.

The project actively promotes the inclusion of women and youth, recognising their critical role in building resilient communities and supporting long-term development outcomes.

Through community-led construction efforts, ALPS is helping to strengthen both technical capacity and social cohesion, empowering communities to take an active role in improving their living conditions.

Implemented in partnership with Rovuma LNG, the project represents a continued investment in clean water access, public health, and community resilience in northern Mozambique.

As construction progresses, each step brings communities closer to achieving safe water access for all — reinforcing a shared commitment to sustainable development and recovery in Cabo Delgado.
